Ryan Mueller, PT, DPT
Physical Therapist
Ryan Mueller, PT, DPT, has been a physical therapist with HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital outpatient department since March 2017. Ryan enjoys working with patients with neurologic and orthopedic diagnoses and hold certification with LSVT BIG, a specific treatment protocol that has been shown to be statistically significant in improve quality of life and objective measures for person’s with Parkinson’s Disease. He has had the opportunity to treat patients at both the chronic and acute stages of neurologic rehabilitation and also has an interest in treating pains experiencing chronic pain and stays up to date about pain science research and utilizes a graded approach with education to reduce pain and improve function and quality of life. Ryan achieved his doctorate in physical therapy from Franklin Pierce University.

Maria Rundell, PT, DPT, NCS, MSCS
Therapy Team Leader
Maria Rundell, PT, DPT, NCS, MSCS, graduated with a doctorate in physical therapy from the University at Buffalo. Dr. Rundell completed a postgraduate neurology residency at A.T. Still University, and holds the professional designation of board-certified clinical specialist in neurologic physical therapy by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties of the American Physical Therapy Association. She works with patients having a wide variety of neurologic conditions. In addition, Dr. Rundell has a passion for working with the Multiple Sclerosis population and is a Multiple Sclerosis Certified Specialist. She established HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Colorado Springs as a MS Partner of Care with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and sits on the Colorado-Wyoming National Multiple Sclerosis Society Healthcare Advisory Committee. Dr. Rundell was the recipient of the Southern Colorado National MS Society Program Volunteer of the Year in 2014 and also works closely with the Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers as their current website director and serves on their Fellowship Advisory Committee. Dr. Rundell is a program consultant for Can Do Multiple Sclerosis. She has been working at HealthSouth Colorado Springs since 2011 and is currently the outpatient therapy team leader.

Janelle Starck, MSOT, OTR/L
Occupational Therapist
Janelle is from Columbus, Ohio (Go Buckeyes!). She grew up playing competitive soccer, which continued into college at Wittenberg University. After graduating with her Bachelor’s in Biology and Psychology, Janelle attended Washington University in St. Louis to receive her Masters in Occupational Therapy. During a clinical rotation at HealthSouth in Colorado Springs, Janelle fell in love with the mountains and outdoor adventure and hasn’t left! Outside of work, Janelle enjoys spending time with her husband and puppies, camping, cooking, and training for her first 70.3 Ironman. As an outpatient occupational therapist, Janelle helps individuals with instrumental living tasks, fine motor skills, vision and perception, adaptive techniques, and return to work.
