HealthSouth Colorado Springs And The Brain Injury Alliance Of Colorado Present Brain Injury Seminar
HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Colorado Springs will team up with the Brain Injury Alliance of Colorado to present “Maximizing Healthy Living Post Brain Injury,” a seminar for survivors of brain injury, family and caregivers. The event will be held on Wednesday, March 16, from 3 to 7:30 p.m. at HealthSouth Colorado Springs, located at 325 Parkside Drive.
Seminar speakers and topics include:
- Dr. David Richman – “Impact of Brain Injury and Stroke on Caregivers”
- Kayla Bergman, MS, RD – “Nutrition 101 Post Brain Injury”
- Ashley Miranda, MPT and Maria Rundell, PT – “Neuroplasticity”
- Sarah Yoder, SLP - "Organization/Time Management: Tools and Strategies for Successful Daily Living"
“We are thrilled to be partnering with the Brain Injury Alliance of Colorado to bring our community members who’ve been affected by brain injury or stroke expert advice,” said HealthSouth Colorado Springs CEO Steve Schaefer. “Sleep, nutrition, time and stress management and exercise are all vital to healthy daily living for the survivors and the caregivers.”
